Responsibilities: Supervision of the Estimating Department. The complete responsibility of the preparation of all estimates for General Industries. Formulation of bid strategy, determination of subcontractor scopes, take-off analysis and the critiques of subcontractor bids. I am involved in post bid analysis with the Project Manager. I present proposals to Owners and/or Owner representatives.
Additional Responsibilities: Maintaining the Timberline Estimating Software system, review Varco Pruden Building estimates and maintain the various spreadsheets utilized for bidding.

In addition, I am involved in the post bid analysis, material procurement and the letting of subcontracts. I am directly responsible for over 75 bids per year with an annual bid volume in excess of $35 million. My annual win to bid ratio has been 1 in 5.
Additional Responsibilities: Maintaining the computerized estimating system for the company; Program Manager/Coordinator of the OSHA Hazard Communication program; Waste Management Coordinator; and Supervisor of the company’s inventory of stored materials.
Accomplishments: Having a key role in the growth of Cavcon Construction, Inc. from a $3 million company to billings in excess of $12 million. Developing and personally customizing the computerized estimating system for the company’s needs. This system automates takeoffs, pricing, subcontracts and labor analysis. The implementation of this system has doubled the bidding capacity, increased accuracy, increased our bid to win ratio and has improved the transfer of project information from the bid stage to the award stage.
